From the 14th of September, banks will enable Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) on their banking portals. This will affect your ability to pull data as a client of our API when using a Credential Sharing bank.
Credential Sharing banks depend on screen scrapping technology to retrieve the end-user’s financial data. As such, requiring SCA for every login action will severely impact the frequency and the user-experience when retrieving the data.
A possible alternative is to migrate your end users to the bank’s Open Banking connection. This connection should be up to par, in terms of capabilities, with his credential sharing equivalent.
