If the connection is Credential Sharing
If the user has changed their banking login details then their TrueLayer credentials are no longer valid. The user will have to re-authenticate through the TrueLayer Auth Dialog.
If the connection is Open Banking or oAuth
A change in the password may not invalidate the access, but users can revoke their access manually on their Internet Banking or their consent period of 90 days has expired.
oAuth providers only allow one TrueLayer connection at a time. Further reading here.
